The scriptures make us to understand that every time a great door and effectual is opened to God’s people, there are usually many adversaries Deu. 2:24; 1Cor. 16:9. For instance, God opened the door of freedom to the Israelite at Egypt, but the machination of the gods of Egypt rose with the attempt to keep them in bondage Exo. 4:22-23; 12:12-13,40-42. God’s vengeance is the covenant way to silence the adversaries, for God’s people to maximize whatever door God has opened to them Ecc. 8:11. This was why until God executed vengeance in Egypt, the Israelite remained in captivity Exo. 12:12-13,39-42. Covenant highways 2023 is prophetically ordained for us as a year of strange open doors Amos 3:7; Mat. 10:41. God has ordained that every winner shall emerge a high flyer in life this year! We therefore need the understanding of the dynamics of divine vengeance for us to experience God’s plan, purpose and provisions for this great year.

Scriptural Understanding about Divine Vengeance.

1. Divine vengeance means the execution of God’s judgment on evil and the wicked Exo. 12:13; Ezr. 7:26.

God’s judgment refers to what He says on the issue, and they are contained in the scriptures.

2. We serve a God of vengeance 12:19; Mal. 3:6.

The scriptures make it clear that vengeance belong to God; in essence, God delight in executing vengeance on the wicked. God is love and He loves every man, but an aspect of His love that many have not come to understand is judgment that leads to destruction of everyone that stands against His purpose Exo. 4:22-23; Dan. 4:29-37; Acts 12:21-23. For example, Jesus taught us to pray vengeance prayer Lk. 18:1-8. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of vengeance Isa. 61:1-2; Act 13:8-11.

3. Vengeance is a vital aspect of God’s end-time agenda 61:1-2; Lk 4:18.

Jesus quoting the prophecy of Isaiah in Isaiah 61 stopped at the middle of verse 2, which means He stopped in His earthly ministry. The Apostles who marks the beginning of the end-time continued from where Jesus stopped. The first statement from where Jesus stopped is ‘and the day of vengeance of our God’. This means, vengeance is a frontline aspect of end-time agenda of God.

4. The believer has the redemptive responsibility to invoke vengeance upon the wicked 7:9-13; 94:1-4; Lk. 18:7.

Until the believer pronounces vengeance, God cannot execute vengeance on the wicked and wickedness.

Covenant Way to Invoke Divine Vengeance.

1. Be born again.

One must become saved through Christ first in order to experience divine vengeance Lk. 18:7-8; Isa. 63:4. Salvation is not just introduction to a religion, it is the only way of escape from wickedness and the wicked in life Heb. 2:3.

2. Declare vengeance on the wicked and wickedness.

It is as the believer pronounces the judgment of God that God becomes invoked to deliver it on the wicked Mat. 16:19; Isa. 44:26. Therefore, stop watching evil; speak against it to move God to terminate them.

3. Through the mystery of the anointing oil.

When the believer engages the anointing oil by faith, God unleashes vengeance on the wicked Psa. 89:20-24. By the anointing today, the wickedness of the wicked shall come to an end in the life of everyone Isa. 14:25-27; Psa. 7:9. As God judges our enemies, we shall begin to flourish like the palm tree and scale new heights like the cedar in Lebanon Psa. 92:10,12-15; Isa. 61:2-4.

Other virtues in the anointing.

15. i) Healing 5:14-15.
16. ii) Breakthrough 4:18.

• iii) Destruction of every yoke 10:27.

In conclusion, we should all expect to return from this service with undeniable vengeance in the camp of our enemies and new chapters open to your lives.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me, thank you Jesus for restoring me, thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

1. Father in the name of Jesus, everything that has constituted grieve and pain to my life is condemned now 54:17.
2. Father in the name of Jesus, I decree speedy on every one working against your glorious plan for my life right now 7:26.
3. Father in the name of Jesus, every person devising evil and wickedness in our nation and against this nation is cut down now 11:2-13(7-12).
