Favor is a vital force that makes efforts productive and life colorful, without which life is reduced to labor, struggles, and experiences of frustration (Psa. 30:4-7). One moment of favor is enough to terminate a lifetime of labor, as we saw with the Israelites (Exo. 3:21; 12:36,40-41). The good news is that divine favor is available to everyone, but accessible only to those who pay the price to invoke it (Pro. 13:15; Psa. 45:12).

Keys to Intreating Favor from God.

  1. Be Born Again with Proofs.

When one is genuinely born again, he is entitled to the flow of God’s favor (2Cor. 5:21; Psa. 5:12). This is one reason genuine salvation makes a believer experience newness of life on all sides (2Cor. 5:17; Gal. 5:22; Eph. 2;8).

  1. Engage your Heart in Panting after God.

A heart that pants after God and the interest of His kingdom positions a believer for the flow of God’s favor (Psa. 34:10; 102:13-15). This is why those who run after God and His affairs don’t have to chase after things in life; those things are made available by favor (Mat. 6:33).

  1. Stay in Love with God.

Love for God evidenced by love for the things that God loves; such as His word, souls of men, His house etc. qualifies believers for divine favor (Rms. 8:28; 1Cor. 2:9).  Love for God is a choice individuals have to make; it is a choice of the wise (Mat. 6:24).

  1. Engage in Delightsome Obedience.

The choice to obey instruction of scriptures with delight qualifies believers for divine favor (Psa. 112:1-3; Deu. 28:1-2). This implies that disobedience is why some believers are experiencing misfortune and lack of favor, because it disconnects from God’s favor (Pro. 1:23; 1Sam. 15:22-23).

  1. Engage the Lifestyle of Thanksgiving and Praise.

Thanksgiving and praise invoke the hand of God, which connotes the favor of God; making things work supernaturally in the life of the individual (Psa. 92:1-2,10-15; Mk. 6:21-22).

Conclusion.

When God’s favor is released on an individual, everything turns for his good. It is your turn to experience next level of favor in your walk with God!

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father, empower me your Spirit to embrace the responsibility to walk in divine favor in my life from today (Psa. 102:13-15).
  2. Father, by the force of favor, I shall walk in abundance and strange order of testimonies in life from today (Psa. 30:5).
