UNDERSTANDING THE WONDERS OF BEING COMMITTED TO REGULAR FELLOWSHIP PT. 3.

Memory verse:

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of

some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the

 day approaching.”

  • Heb. 10:25.

Fellowship refers to any gathering of children of God for the purpose of worship of God. These could include but not limited to church worship service, home cell meeting, prayer meeting, and unit meeting. The scriptures instruct that the believer must commit to regular appearance in all of these gatherings Heb. 10:25. Remember, every instruction of scriptures is for the profiting of the believer when he obeys 2Tim. 3:16-17. We saw the believer in the early church exemplified the profitability of commitment to fellowship. They were engaged in fellowship twice daily, in the church and from house to house Acts 2:46. The effect of this was that the early church grew to become so strong that they took over the entire Jerusalem Acts 4:16-17; 5:27-28.

What is in fellowship that makes it have such a powerful effect on those that are committed to it? This has been the focus in our teachings this week, and I trust God to shed His light on you again in today’s teaching.

The Wonders of Being Committed to Fellowship.

  1. We share the word in Fellowship (church service, home-cell) Jer. 15:16; Mal. 3:15-16.

The place of fellowship has one vital feature which is to share God’s word. And this makes it to be distinctly different from every other place of gathering of men. God’s word is the food of the spirit, which turns mere men into giants. No one ever outgrows eating o matter the age, hence no one outgrows commitment to regular fellowship.

  • We grow in revelation in Fellowship Isa. 60:1-2; Jer. 3:15-16.

Revelation is when the Holy Spirit interprets God’s word to the believer personally, which enables him to put the word to work precisely to deliver desired testimony. Revelation is also what we call light, this empowers for supernatural breakthrough. There will always be the barrier of the forces of darkness; we need light to keep making progress. Therefore, commitment to fellowship is a must.

Every believer that desires the best in life remain committed to fellowship for life. It is one demand that no believer can do without if the promised abundant life will be experienced.
