Memory verse:

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of

some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the

 day approaching.”

  • Heb. 10:25.

The scriptures make us to understand that everything documented in the bible is for our example Rms. 15:4; 1Cor. 10:11. We use the experience of those in scriptures to learn how to live and make the best of our life and moments. In essence, where they enjoyed success we learn what they did and do same to command same order of success. And where they failed, we learn what made them to fail and avoid it for us to experience better life and result than them. This is because whatever God has done before, He will do again Mal. 3:6.

We saw in scriptures that the early church was committed to fellowship; they were having daily fellowship both in the temple and from house to house Acts. 2:46. The effect of it was that the early church was an irresistible one, the growth was daily and dramatic Acts 2:41,46-27. Also, it was a church of giants with mere men suddenly emerging in greatness Acts 4:13. This is why our teaching this week has the focus of studying the blessing in commitment to fellowship for a believer. Be illuminated with the light of God today in Jesus name.

The Wonders of Being Committed to Fellowship.

  1. The church which implies fellowship is akin to ‘Zion’ in the Old Testament Psa. 132:13-15; Heb. 12:22-24.

Zion in the Old Testament is the church of Christ in prophecy. Zion is the God’s dwelling place, where He appears to men. When a man meets with God, his life takes a dramatic turn for good Gen. 32:30-31. Therefore, commitment to fellowship turns an individual into a giant.

  • Fellowship is ordained for our covering against sin among others Oba. 1:17; Heb. 3:13; Eph. 5:26; Jn. 15:3.

There are certain forces of the spirit at work in fellowship, which are ordained to produce the deliverance of the believer from the forces of sin. Sin is at the root of man’s problems in life Rms. 6:23. In essence, when an individual is delivered from sin, he begins to experience the best of life. This is what commitment to fellowship offers the believer.

Our commitment to fellowship is a wise choice that secures for the believer a life of blessing. This is why I believe David a Zion addict said, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord’ Psa. 122:1.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, I make the choice to be committed to fellowship like never before, and I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to abide by my choice to the end Deut. 30:19.

Action.

Identify those things that make you not to be regular in church services, and what to do to overcome them from today.

Priestly Blessings.

I decree the love of God for His house and fellowship be ignited in you afresh now!

God presence shall become a thing of delight to you from henceforth!
