UNDERSTANDING THE WONDERS OF BEING COMMITTED TO REGULAR FELLOWSHIP PT. 1.

Memory verse:

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of

some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the

 day approaching.”

  • Heb. 10:25.

The bible is not a history book or religious text, rather the bible is a living book Jn. 1:1-4. The bible does not only have life and gives life; it is God’s manual that shows how one can live life to the fullest on the earth Jn. 5:39-40. In essence, everyone that desires to make the most of his life on the earth should follow (in details) the prescription of scriptures for every aspect of life Deut. 28:1-2.

One vital instruction of scriptures is that every believer must be committed to regular fellowship with other brethren Heb. 10:25. The scriptures make us to understand that no believer can survive in his walk with God without this commitment to regular fellowship Heb. 3:13. In essence, fellowship or church service attendance is more than just mere religious ritual or obligation; it is a provision of God for the well-being of man’s life on the earth, particularly the believer. To make light of it, is to miss out on true or the abundant life.

This week, our teaching shall be focused on studying the scriptures to understand the benefits a believer enjoys by regular and active involvement in fellowship. I trust that God’s light will shine on you and empower your walk with God into a new level.

The Wonders of Being Committed to Fellowship.

  1. The early church had victory over every assault and persecution by it Acts 2:46-47; 4:23-34; 8:1-8.

The early church was so committed to fellowship that they gathered on two (2) major platforms daily; in the temple, and from house to house. By this, no opposition against them was strong enough to crush the church, they overcame all.

  • It is the ordained city of refuge for the redeemed in this New Testament era Jos. 20:1-4; Heb. 12:22-24.

The devil is the believer’s unrepentant and unrelenting adversary, seeking for who he may devour or destroy 1Pet. 5:8. Fellowship is the place of refuge for the believer. In essence, the more committed a believer is to fellowship the less vulnerable he is to be slain by the enemy.

We must understand that we are not doing God neither the pastor any good by becoming committed to fellowship. It is a wise choice that empowers us for the best life has to offer on the earth; make that wise choice today.

Jesus is Lord!

Father in the name of Jesus, I make the choice to be committed to fellowship like never before, and I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to abide by my choice to the end Deut. 30:19.
