“So when they had further threatened them, they let them go,”

“And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.”

  • Act 4:21,23.

The New Testament church had a culture which made her to remain too formidable and strong for oppositions to subdue, both as a body and individuals. The culture is the commitment to resort to their company time and again. Every time they do, they were re-fired to become stronger than their opposition Psa. 133:1-3.

Some of such cases are here below:

  1. It was while in their company that the power of God fell, with each person in attendance being a part of the impartation Acts 2:1-4.
  2. They kept meeting at their various company levels; the temple and houses, and the church kept increasing in strength, size, and impact Acts 2:43-47.
  3. When they were threatened, it was as they resorted to their company that they were empowered to a new level to subdue the threats and command new dimension of exploits Acts 4:23-35.
  4. Even Paul the great with his allies, will always resort to Jerusalem to their company. This was a major factor for his outstanding performance and results Gal. 1:18-19.

The full-day Pastors’ Prayer 2021 involving all pastors in the State Hqtr Church  Calabar, scheduled for Friday December 17th is a time of resorting to our company in like manner of the early church. It is going to be a time of spiritual renewal, rejuvenation, refilling with the power of God, refreshing from the Lord, impartation with spiritual gifts and grace, and much more. Each of us is sure to emerge with new strength to command new level of exploits.

We are not to approach this full-day Pastors’ Prayer as a burden or a duty to fulfill, rather we are to see it as a day of fellowship with God in our company, for supernatural refreshing from the Lord 1Jn. 1:3,7. Therefore, it is a day we should look forward to eagerly, prepare for earnestly, and do everything to be part of. As we engage with God in this full-day Pastors’ Prayer, I see the year 2021 end in a great and glorious way for us as individuals and body. Also, I see the year 2022 begin to speak early with amazing proofs and testimonies in our lives.

See you at the full-day Pastors’’ Prayer 2022. Halleluyah!

Adeolu Adewumi.
