UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF VISION PT. 1.

We serve the God of plan and purpose, who has His purpose for everything He created Eccl. 3:1. In essence, there is God’s plan and purpose for every man in life. Following God’s plan and purpose for one’s life is key to success in life Jer. 29:11. There are basically 2 ways to discover God’s plan and purpose:

  1. Through the revelation of the word Psa. 119:105.
    1. Through encounter with God that shows one the way forward, this is called vision Hab. 2:1-3. For example, Moses Exo. 3:7-10; Paul Acts 9:1-6; Peter Acts 10:1-14.

In God’s plan and purpose, there are specific things that the written word might not be able to give clear answer. Like where to carry out one’s assignment (location), when to step out (timing), how to go about the assignment (strategy) etc. This is where and when vision becomes vital.

Why Do we Need Vision?

  1. Man does not have the capacity to know the future Jer. 10:23-24.

No one knows tomorrow and the future like the one who creates it Jer. 29:11; Isa. 46:9-10. It is by vision that one knows what God has designed, which helps one to take appropriate decisions and steps today to actualise that future.

How to Access God’s Vision for our lives.

  1. Have the desire to access vision Rev. 1:9-10; Pro. 18:1.

A desire is a must to gain access to every provision of God, and vision is not an exception. Desire means a panting of the heart that nothing else can satisfy.

  1. Engage the altar of prayer to secure access Hab. 2:1-3; Jer. 29:11-13.

The prayer altar is the place of encounter with God, where God shows His children things that pertain to their lives as an individual Jer. 33:3. In the 21 days prayer and fasting ahead, everyone should be out encounters with God that will deliver His vision for or next phase for your life to you.

Biblical Proofs of a True Vision.

  1. Every true vision drives the visionary Jer. 20:9; Mk. 1:12.

When it is truly God’s plan for one’s life, it will put one on the run to accomplish it.

  • Every true vision alleys all fears Exo. 3:7-10; 4:22-23.

When it is truly God’s plan, one is not afraid of the challenges, oppositions, and contrary situation on the way.

  • Every true vision in-builds confidence Acts 26:19; Php. 1:21.

When it is truly God’s plan, it imparts ability to dare anything in the believer, which makes one not to accept no for anything that wants to discourage pursuit and accomplishment.

In conclusion, I perceive strongly that we have come to the year of the redeemed of the Lord Isa. 63:4. This means, every child of God that will walk faithfully with God is set for an inexplicable order glorious experience of life this year.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer loudly with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me and on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me.”

Prayer.

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the help of the Holy Spirit to make the most of this great year before me, in walking faithfully with God all through Rms. 8:26.
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, I desire encounter with vision of God for my life Jer. 33:3.
