UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING TOWARDS FULFILMENT OF PROPHECIES PT. 5.

Memory verse:

“And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,”

  • 1Kgs. 8:15.

One nature of God that we have established from scriptures is that of speaking ahead before He does things Isa. 42:8-9; 46:9-10. This is what is called prophecy; the declaration of the end from the beginning. The guarantee we have is that when it is from God, it is certain to come to pass as declared Isa. 14:24,27; 55:10-11. But we require the hand of God to see what God declares become a reality 1Kgs. 8:15. Scriptures make us to understand that thanksgiving, joy and rejoicing will always invoke the hand of God to work, thereby securing the performance of what God has declared 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36. This understanding gives the believer an edge in life; he is certain of the future and knows how to make that future become a reality.

How Thanksgiving works to deliver prophetic words.

  1. Understand that scriptures are prophetic and they reveal God’s plan.

In every situation, there is the plan of the man and the plan of God Isa. 55:8-9. God’s word reveals God’s plan; in essence, any word we discover shows us God’s plan for our life. Only the plan of God has the guarantee of a great future and life Jer. 29:11; Pro. 19:21.

  • Thanksgiving is the covenant force for enforcing the fulfillment of God’s plan.

God revealed His plan for Abraham at seventy-five years of age concerning him bringing forth a son at that old age Gen. 15:2-6; 17:4-8; 18:10-14. This was beyond human comprehension or medical explanation, but Abraham kept giving glory to God for His plan that was revealed to him Rms. 4:20-21. By this, Abraham enforced the fulfillment of the prophecy or the plan of God for his life.

The seven days left for the year to finally end are prophetic! In the beginning after making the heaven and earth, the earth became void and empty Gen. 1:2. And within seven days, God reshaped, restructured, repaired the bad state of the earth, and turned it into a very good state. Our God has not changed; rather He is still doing His work of old on the earth Mal. 3:6; Psa. 74:12. As we engage in thanksgiving, expect dramatic change of your story in these remaining seven days.
