Memory verse:

“And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,”

  • 1Kgs. 8:15.

The scriptures introduced the children of Issachar as men that were not as strong as their colleagues, but they had the understanding of times, which enables them to know the right thing to do per time 1Chr. 12:32. By this they had command over those that were stronger than them. We are at the end of the year, and it is the time that prophecies speak the most and best Hab. 2:3. But we need to remember that there is the responsibility on every believer who desires to see prophecy come to fulfillment 1Tim. 1:18. Scriptures makes us to understand that thanksgiving is a covenant tool that will make prophecy to become fulfilled 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36. In essence, thanksgiving is what every believer is to do to maximize the end of the year!

How Thanksgiving works to prophetic words.

  1. Understand that God’s word is prophetic.

Scriptures make us to understand that every word contained in scriptures is a prophecy, and it’s the surest form 2Pet. 1:19; Isa. 29:11-12. The integrity of God is behind every word of scriptures to see that none that the believer lays hold on fails to deliver Matt. 24:35. In essence, any word the believer finds from scriptures has the guarantee of becoming fulfilled Isa. 14:24.

  • Thanksgiving is a covenant trigger for fulfillment of scriptures.

The church has been used to demanding for God’s word to be performed. There is a cheaper and more guaranteed way to this. Thanksgiving and praise for God’s word releases the power for the fulfillment of that word Isa. 56:4,10. The case of Jehoshaphat and Judah clearly validates this 2Chr. 20:3-11,12-17,22-25. They were confronted with an intimidating battle, but a prophetic word came forth that they won’t need to fight, God will give them victory. As they began to celebrate God for His word, God’s word came to fulfillment speedily and forcefully.
