Memory verse:
“And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,”
- 1Kgs. 8:15.
The scriptures show us one other character of God as; He makes known of things ahead of their time Isa. 42:9; 46:10. Such declaration of God of the future is what is called prophecy, and they are guaranteed to come to fulfillment Lam. 3:37; Isa. 55:10-11. From the beginning of this year, God has been declaring about the year concerning us. But there are responsibilities on every believer who desires to experience the fulfillment of prophecies 1Tim. 1:18. Thanksgiving is principal, scriptures make us to understand that it guarantees the fulfillment of whatever God has spoken 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36.
How Thanksgiving works to deliver prophetic words.
- Understand that our God knows the end from the beginning.
We serve the all-knowing God, it why He is called the omniscient Jn. 18:4. Our God knows the end from the beginning Isa. 46:9-10; 48:17. In His nature, God will always make known the end to His children ahead of the time Amos 3:7. This is because by His law of life, what you cannot declare is what you can never experience Mk. 11:23; Gen. 1:3-25.
- Thanksgiving reminds Him of His word.
In thanksgiving, God remembers the promises that have gone forth from Him Psa. 105:1-2,42, And for His integrity, He moves to perform them. The life of king Hezekiah exemplified this vividly; he was sick unto death but refused to die, and a prophetic word came forth of additional fifteen years to his life Isa. 38:1-5. King Hezekiah engaged in thanksgiving and praise as he sang his song, by this he moved God to bring His word of additional years to pass in his life Isa. 38:19-20.
I want you to receive this truth; whatever God has said concerning you this year is sure to come to fulfillment before the year is over. The number of says left for the year to be over is not a problem. All that we need to do is stir God to fulfill His words and promises with your thanksgiving.
Jesus is Lord!
