Thanksgiving is one vital force of the Christian faith that makes the believer to manifest the power of God Psa. 92:1-2,10. Remember, simple definition of power is the ability to do work, or make a thing happen. In essence, by thanksgiving the ability of God is released on the believer thereby enabling him to do and make things to happen supernaturally. Remember, divine ability has the solution to every of man’s inability. Therefore, thanksgiving is an asset that puts the believer in charge of life, making things to happen as he desires when he engages it with understanding. We can therefore say that thanksgiving is the answer to whatever challenge the believer has.

Many believers lack this understanding, which is the reason for the misery they experience in contrast to the glory they were ordained for by redemption. We have been studying the power in thanksgiving in our teachings this week. I believe God’s light will flood your life as we go through the teaching today.

What is in thanksgiving that makes it powerful?

1. Thanksgiving is key to perfecting our blessings.

God’s will for the life of the believer is perfection Deut. 32:4; Psa. 138:8; 1Pet. 5:10. Often, this will start as ‘good’ with the believer having the responsibility to work it. or move God, to perfect it Jms. 1:17; Php. 2:12; Rms. 12:2. It is by thanksgiving that the believer moves God to make the ‘good’ turn to perfect Psa. 138:1-2,8. The incidence of the ten lepers that Jesus healed, with the only one that returned to thank him being made whole or perfect vividly illustrate this truth Lk. 19:11-19. Remember, good can be the enemy of best or perfect. When good is not worked-on to progress to best, decadence will set in making it to turn to bad. Some believers wait for their testimony to become full before they thank God, and they seem never to have the full testimony because they have missed the kingdom procedure. You shall never be a victim of ingratitude again in life.

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the oil of gladness and the grace for the lifestyle of thanksgiving thereby bringing me into the fullness of the glorious life God ordained for me Psa. 45:6-7.

Action.

Take stock of your life, identify all that God has done this year and before, give thanks to God for them all through today.
