Memory verse:

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”

“Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.”

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

  • Php. 4:4-6.

All through scriptures, the believer is instructed not to give himself to worry over the issues of life Php. 4:4-6; 1Pet. 5:7. Among others, it is because by the makeup of man the mind is not designed to be used for worrying. Worry is the state of being troubled in the mind concerning a challenge or problem. Often the trouble is not about finding a solution, but of seeing the situation as without one and imagining the worst. This practice is known to only make the things become worse, and many have found themselves helpless in overcoming worry.

The solution as prescribed in scriptures is that whatever situation is, instead of worry we should engage in thanking God 1Ths. 5:18. In essence, worry is walking in disobedience to God. Remember, obedience guarantees supernatural and dramatic breakthrough in every situation Duet. 28:1; Heb. 10:36. Therefore, thanksgiving will always turn any concern to a breakthrough testimony when we engage in it.

The Power of Thanksgiving in Turning Concerns to Testimonies.

  1. Abraham’s life exemplified it Rms. 4:16-21; Gen. 21:1-7.

Abraham’s case was more than overwhelming, it was a closed case by every human, scientific and medical standard. At over 90 years of age and his wife over 80, they were still childless. Rather than being in despair and worry, he kept giving thanks to God, and the seemingly hopeless situation was turned to a glorious celebration. Halleluyah!

  • Thanksgiving releases fresh oil on the believer Psa. 92;1-2,10-11; 89:20-24.

Fresh oil empowers the believer for supernatural victory in whatever situation he has found himself. In essence, thanksgiving forbids the believer from becoming a victim no matter how overwhelming the situation appears to be. It is the reason why scriptures instructs, in everything give thanks, and you will see negative situation turns to testimony, while positive become better.

In conclusion, the choice to make thanksgiving a lifestyle irrespective of one’s situation is the wisdom for a glorious kingdom life. I pray the grace be released on you.
