“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” – 1Ths. 5:18.
Every instruction of scriptures is for the believer’s benefit, not God Deu. 28:1-2; 2Tim. 3:16-17. We must become lovers of scriptural instruction, they are not designed to be burden but benefit. Thanking God in everything is an instruction of God to the believer, it is not an advise nor is it optional Mal. 2:1-3; 2Ths. 2:13. And the benefit for the believer who embraces the instruction is that everything will begin to work in his life 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36.
Understanding how thanksgiving works to deliver testimonies.
Lazarus was a friend of Jesus, he became sick and Jesus was informed but did not show up until after four days that Lazarus had died and was buried in the grave Jn. 11:21-22,39. Jesus simply gave thanks at the grave of Lazarus, called him forth, and Lazarus came out alive from the grave Jn. 11:40-44. This was a situation that everyone had written off, but thanksgiving turned it around into a testimony.
From scriptures, we understand that when the believer gives thanks, fresh oil is released on his life Psa, 92:1-2,10. Fresh oil is the same thing as fresh anointing. The anointing is significant, because it is what is required to have yokes broken in life Isa. 10:27. In essence, with fresh anointing every yoke in the believer’s life is broken, establishing his liberty and advancement.
