Memory verse:   

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

• 1Cor. 2:9.

The scriptures make us to understand that the love of God is one virtue with the capacity to turn a believer into a living wonder in life 1Cor. 2:9. This is because love for God makes a believer to become one with God 1Jn. 4:16. Science calls it fusion; when one nucleus ‘melts’ into another to form a bigger nucleus. This is what love does; it melts a believer into God making him to become one with God. The believer is turned from mortal into immortality. When the love of God is truly established in a believer, he absolutely represents God bodily, and everything that God stands for is what he manifests Eph. 3:17-19. At this realm, the believer is a wonder in the class of God. The question is, how do I know the love of God is in me?

The Proofs of the love of God in the believer’s life.

1. It makes God and the interest of His kingdom our priority for living.

One sure hallmark of the love of God is that God and the affairs of His kingdom will become the most important and foremost thing in the believer’s life Mat. 6:33. A true lover of God has no interest in any other thing in life other than God and His kingdom.

• Passion for God without being ashamed.

God lovers don’t feel any shame openly displaying their love for God, as in the case of Elijah 1Kgs. 19:10,14; 2Kgs. 2:12. Even when the love of God will make the believer become a ‘lone-ranger’, yet he does not rescind in his love for God.

• Undying passion for salvation of souls.

This is one strong proof of love for God, the insatiable drive to see the unsaved receive salvation through Christ and become established in God Rms. 1:16; Php. 1:21. The love of God will make a believer to spend and be spent to see one soul saved like Paul 2Cor. 12:15.

The scriptures say that love is as strong as death, which means that with the love of God the believer becomes impossible to handle in life SOS 8:6.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                

Father in the name of Jesus; empower me by your Spirit for the love of God, thereby enable me to be passionate towards lost souls Rms. 5:5.

Action.

Make a public display of your love for God today; do it this way by staying at a street corner and talk about Jesus in a loud voice.
