“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
God has provided the believer with diverse spiritual weapons, forces or virtues to help maximize his life in the kingdom 2Cor. 10:4-5. These forces individually have the capacity to place the believer on top of all issues in life. For instance, the force of faith translates into the realm of all possibilities Mk. 9:23; prayer puts everything at the believer’s reach by simply asking Mat. 7:7-8 etc. But the scriptures show us that the greatest of all these spiritual virtues, which guarantees the greatest experience is love 1Cor. 13:1-2,13. The good news is that our love for God is a function of our choice Jos. 24:15; Jn. 21:15-17. The love of God is not a gift that the believer has to pursue after, but a choice, which means that it is within his power. How do we know that we truly love God?
The Proofs of the love of God in the believer’s life.
God showed His love by going all out for salvation of man Jn. 3:16. In essence, the proof of the love of God in the believer is how much he is passionate to see men saved Acts 26:22. This is the capital proof of our love for God.
A lover of God is not just satisfied with seeing souls saved, he wants to see the entire world turn back to God 2Cor. 5:17-20. Such will remain restive as long as he sees a souls yet to be converted to Christ. How much we are moved in this wise shows how much we love God.
Abraham was referred to as a friend or lover of God Jms. 2:23. He was delighted in obeying God’s instruction Gen. 12:1-4; 17:9-14; 22:1-4. When we take delight in obeying whatever God says, we have validated God’s love in our life Jn. 14:21.
The love of God at work in a believer is all he needs for his life to become a wonder on the earth. This is simply a choice to make, and it shows by passion towards the salvation of the dying world, and obedience to God with delight.
