Memory verse:
“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest”
“And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.”
- Jn. 4:35-36.
A revival season is a move of the Spirit of God in the midst of men, and it always culminates in the advance of the people Psa. 65:9-13. We understand from scriptures that a revival season is work time, with much spiritual demands on the believer who cares to engage 2Chr. 15:6-7; Hag, 2:3-9. It is as the believer embraces the demands that he becomes entitled to experience the move of God and the attendant blessings Acts 2:1-4,44-47. Every believer that desires to take delivery of the blessing of a revival must find a place to partake of the demands of the season. There is always what the believer can get engaged with to position himself for the blessing that a revival carries.
The opportunities of engagement in a revival.
- A place for helping the needy among the brethren.
The scriptures command believers to bear one another’s burden, this is a way to show the love of God Gal. 6:2,10; 1Jn. 3:15-18. Every seed or help to the needy is lending to the Lord Pro. 19:17; 28:28. This is because we have taken up God’s responsibility on His behalf as the Father of the helpless, with the responsibility to provide their needs Psa. 68:5; 1Tim. 5:8. Among others, I believe it is why giving is identified in scriptures as a sincere proof of love for God 2Cor. 8:8; Jn. 3:16. Therefore, revival time offers the believer opportunity of giving a helping hand among God’s people, with great rewards that follow Pro. 11:24-25; Acts 4:34-35.
