Memory verse:

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest”

“And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.”

  • Jn. 4:35-36.

The midst of the year we are in is a time ordained by God to revive His people and His work Hab. 3:1-2. Our understanding of a revival will help us to make the most of the season. A revival is the move of God in the midst of men, and every time God moves among men He advances their destiny Psa. 65:9-11; Exo. 3:7-10. There is the labor demand to make the most of a revival season 2Chr. 5:6-7; Hag. 2:3-9. It is as we respond to the labor demand that we qualify for the delivery of the blessing of revival.

The opportunities of engagement in a revival.

  1. A place for follow up of new converts to the point of establishment.

Our task is not just to see men get converted, but to further become disciples of Christ Mat. 28:19-20; Jn. 15:16. This demands that we go again and again to check on the converts, just as we did at first to get them converted Acts 15:36. Our follow up must be purposeful for it to be productive; the purpose will include to see how the convert is fairing in his new faith in Christ, encourage them to keep making progress in their walk with God, give necessary assistance to help them abide in the faith, answer questions that may confront them in their new found faith etc. Also, we need to make spiritual resources available to them towards their spiritual development; things like books, CD, DVD etc 2Tim. 3:12; 1Pet. 2:2. This is a highly rewarding spiritual exercise Eph. 6:8; Mat. 25:34-40.

Jesus is Lord!
