Memory verse:

 with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” 

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep

 your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Prayer is the expression of the love of God the Father to His children Matt. 7:7-8. He is the all sufficient being, and He gave His children access to His sufficiency through the prayer platform to answer every insufficiency in our lives. What a big heat of love! From scriptures, we understand that there are places appointed by God where He delivers answer to prayers spontaneously 2Chr. 7:13-15. Shiloh is one of such appointed places in our generation Jos. 18:1-3; 1Sam. 1:13-19. But from scriptural understanding, we must apply ourselves to requisite protocol, and vital is the thanksgiving protocol Php. 4:6.

The Power of thanksgiving for Answer to Prayer.

1. Thanksgiving facilitate the delivery of answer to prayer.

From the teaching of Jesus on prayer, we understand that every prayer that will have the answer delivered must be concluded with thanksgiving Matt. 6:9-10,13. When we thank God, we move Him to do those things that are outstanding in our lives Lk. 17:15-19. At the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus had been groaning all the while, He simply thanked God, called for Lazarus and the dead came forth right away Jn. 11:33-38,40-44. This shows the power of thanksgiving to cause speedy delivery of answer to prayer.

• The example of Hezekiah.

Hezekiah was sick and the pronouncement came that he would die Isa. 38:1. Hezekiah refused to agree with the pronouncement though it came from an authentic source; rather he turned to God in prayers to demand for his life Isa. 38:2-3. But a close study of the narrative shows that he engaged in thanksgiving and praise to experience the sudden answer to his prayer Isa. 38:19-20,4-6.

God’s promise over Shiloh is that everyone’s demand shall receive speedy answer. Each one simply needs to comply with the demand to maximize this divine opportunity.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive a fresh release of the Spirit of joy and gladness for genuine thanksgiving from today Isa. 61:1,3.
