The scriptures make us to understand that every labor investment a man makes qualifies him for appropriate reward Pro. 14:23. In life, nothing goes for nothing. In essence, whatever a man desires will place the demand of certain investment on him. All labor deliver reward at different levels; the level at which a believer is living or his status is a function of the labor he has put into life. Spiritual stewardship is the only type of labor that delivers reward in all areas of the believer’s life, and in the eternity Mat. 6:33. It is the most rewarding engagement on the earth 1Tim. 4:7-8. Spiritual stewardship is engagement that is towards the expansion of God’s kingdom and the growth of the church 1Cor. 3:6.

The Various Ways of Engaging in Spiritual Stewardship.

1. Praying for new converts and new members to be established in the faith.

To get an unbeliever in Christ saved demands that the powers of darkness at work blindfolding him from seeing the light of the gospel are cast out 2Cor. 3-4. One vital characteristic of these powers or foul spirits is that they will always make attempt to return to wherever they have occupied before Mat. 12:43-45. Therefore, the need to keep praying for our new converts and members. By praying for them, we shut the door against these foul spirits from gaining access to them again, to draw them back to the world Lk. 11:24-26; Col. 4:12. By praying for our new converts, we facilitate their development into instant disciples of Christ Jn. 4:29,39. Remember, until our converts are established in the faith and abide in the church, we are not qualified for the delivery of the rewards for our labor Jn. 15:16; 4:35-36. In all of these, our reward is on individual basis not as groups 1Cor. 3:6-9; Rev. 22:12.

Take all your converts this year up in prayer; for none to return back to the world but all be established in the faith and the church.
