Spiritual stewardship refers to every activity or engagement for God that impact directly on the enlargement of God’s kingdom and church growth 1Cor. 3:6. The scriptures make us to understand that the growth of the church is the heartbeat of God, therefore every man that commits to it is recognized by heaven as a man after God’s heart 1Sam. 13:14. Such believer has endeared himself to God, which makes him to gain free access to the things of life that others struggle to get Mat. 6:33; Rms. 8:32. This is why we said that spiritual stewardship pays like no other engagement in life.

The Various Ways of Engaging in Spiritual Stewardship.

1. Praying for the needs of church members.

The scriptures make us to understand clearly that the prayer altar is one way of serving God and the advancement of His kingdom Lk. 2:36-37. Among others, one way we serve God on the prayer altar is in praying for the needs of members of the church Jms. 5:16; Gal. 6:2. Look at how praying for the needs of others bring advancement to God’s kingdom:

1. It turns the challenges of those we pray for into testimonies, which strengthens their faith to abide in God Php. 1:19; Gen. 20:17.
2. When the challenges of others are turned into testimonies, it attracts many more to Christ and the church Zch. 8:23; Isa. 44:5.
3. By praying for others, we move God to make happen for us what we made happen the people, with the same effect of attracting others to Christ through our testimony Eph. 6:8; Job 42:10.
