SPIRITUAL STEWARDSHIP PAYS THE MOST PT. 1.

Memory verse:

“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;”

“Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;”

  • Rms. 12:11-12.

The believer was brought into a new life at salvation; this new life is referred to as eternal, everlasting or the abundant life Jn. 3:16; 10:10. After the experience of salvation, each believer has the responsibility to make this new life in Christ the reality in his life Php. 2:12. Therefore, we need to know what to do and accept the responsibility to do it. When we do, experiencing the abundant life will become the natural thing for the believer. A key demand for the abundant life is serving God and the interest of His kingdom Exo. 23:25; Pro. 10:22. Hence, serving God is not mere religious activity or hubby, it is a big-time business Rms. 12:11-12; Lk. 2:49. When our perspective and approach towards service become business-like, we are guaranteed the blessing that makes for abundant life.

Scriptures show us that God’s blessing delivers at different levels; thirty, sixty and hundred fold Matt. 13:23. This is attributable to the different types of kingdom service; the most rewarding of the various service types is spiritual service or stewardship 1Tim. 4:7-8. Our teachings this week will be focused on the various ways to engage in spiritual stewardship.

Different Ways of Engaging in Spiritual Stewardship.

  1. Soul winning.

Scriptures make us to understand that soul winning is a spiritual goldmine. For every investment made for God and His kingdom, there is always His reward or profit in response Pro. 14:23. And the worth of a soul won for Christ is much more than the wealth of world put together Matt. 16:26. In essence, when the believer labors and gets souls won, he is entitled to whatever desires he has. The good news is that no believer is sidelined or rejected by God on this privilege Jn. 5:16; 2Cor. 5:18-20. Every believer is empowered by the Holy Ghost to be effective and fruitful as a soul winner Acts 1:8. The issue is that each believer is rewarded according to his results obtained, and not for efforts made Dan. 12:3. But when a believer has labored, he cannot be denied his reward.
