Memory verse:

“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”

“This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.”

  • 1Tim. 4:8-9.

God’s kingdom to which we belong is a kingdom of great responsibilities Mat. 11:28-29. It is accepting the responsibilities of the kingdom that gives the believer access to the great provisions of the kingdom. Serving God and the interest of His kingdom is the core kingdom responsibility that gives the believer access to all the provisions of the kingdom Exo. 23:25-27. This is why serving God is a big time business that will make a giant out of any ordinary individual Lk. 22:25-27.

Understanding the ways to engage in profitable kingdom service.

We have established from scriptures that much activity is not the same as true kingdom service. Therefore, we need a good understanding of how to serve God indeed.

  1. We serve God by praying for the needs of members.

When we pray for the needs of others, we cause their challenges to turn to testimonies Php. 1:19; Gen. 20:17. There are three implications of these; first, it boosts the faith of the old believer in God, second it encourages the new convert to become established in the faith, and third it attracts others to Christ and the church Col. 4:12; Gal. 4:19; Zch. 8:23. Remember, what we make happen for others in prayer, God is committed to make happen for us Eph. 6:8;.

In conclusion, we are not wasting our effort when we look away from our problems to focus on the problems of others in prayer. It is serving God that promises great returns into our lives Job. 42:10.

Jesus is Lord!

Action.

Identify a member of your home-cell with a challenge; take up the challenge on the prayer altar and never stop until it becomes a testimony.
