Memory verse:
“But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.”
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come” 1Tim. 4:7-8.
Serving God, which is also known as kingdom stewardship, is the kingdom pathway to greatness in life Lk. 22:25-27. We have established from scriptures that there are three major ways of engaging in kingdom stewardship; spiritual Gal. 6:7-8, financial Hag. 1:2,7 and in-service Exo. 36:1-2. We understand from scriptures that spiritual stewardship delivers the best of rewards out of the three 1Tim. 4:8.
What are the various ways of engaging in spiritual stewardship?
- Praying for signs and wonders in our services.
The service delivered by this form of service is the supernatural acts of God in the lives of men Acts 4:31-33. This is why it is a form of spiritual service. The following understanding will stir us to engage in this form of service.
- Through the healing of the cripple man at the beautiful gate, about 5,000 people were turned to the Lord Acts 3:6-16; 4:1-4.
- Through the healing of Aeneas, the people in two towns were turned to the Lord in one day Acts 9:34-35.
- When we pray for signs and wonders to happen in the lives of worshippers in our services, we are praying the will of God and guarantee answer to our personal desires ACTS 4:30-33; 1Jn. 5:14-15.
- Those who commit to pray such prayers are ordained to be the first partakers of the same in the areas they desire miracles 2:3-6; Psa. 127:3; 68:6.
