Memory verse:   

“Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.”

From scriptures we understand that God wants all men to be reconciled back to intimate relationship with Him 1Tim. 2:4; Jn. 3:16. He commissioned the believer with the responsibility to reconcile the unsaved back to Him 2Cor. 5:17-19. But the believer has a fierce enemy to contend with, if he will succeed in this task Deu. 2:24. The task of reconciling men to God is not just for the benefit of God, much more it is the believers secret to the abundant life the kingdom offers Isa. 52:7. This is why reaching out to the lost is vital to the believer. We must therefore put up a fight of faith in order to win this war, get souls reconciled to God and enjoy the kingdom abundant life Jn. 4:35-36. 

How to win the war and be effective in soul winning.

1. Understand that God has given the church the entire harvest field of the world.

The entire world is where God has authorized and given to the believer for this reconciliation task Mat. 28:19-20; Mk. 16:15-16. Anywhere men can be found must be invaded for the task of getting them saved, without an exception.

• Understand that we have many adversaries to contend with.

From scriptures, we understand that there are many adversaries out to resist the delivery of this divine task 1Cor. 16:9; Deu. 2:24. Satan will not stand by and watch for the believer to be ripping the souls from his kingdom unto God, he will resist with every of his strength.

• The believer needs the combined force of faith, prayer and fasting.

From scriptures, we understand that the combination of the force of faith, prayer and fasting will subdue any opposition Mat. 17:19-21. Therefore, the believer that will overcome the gates of hell against the salvation of men must put his faith to work, while engaging the altar of prayer and fasting.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive strength of the Holy Spirit for warfare in my soul winning endeavor thereby making me supernaturally fruitful from today Acts. 1:8.

Put up a fasting schedule for you team for the success of this harvest season.
