Memory verse:

“And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy

bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the

 midst of thee.”

“There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land:

the number of thy days I will fulfil.”

  • Exo. 23:25-26.

Serving God is recognized in the scriptures as the most profitable venture on the earth Job 36:11. Many that serve God miss out on the profits because they serve as if they are helping the pastor, doing the church or God a favor. These mentality and approach rob the believer of the benefits of kingdom stewardship. Whatever we do in advancing God’s kingdom is not to add to God, profit the church, or in the making of the pastor. Our service to God is essentially to our benefit as individuals Exo. 23:25-26. Therefore, a right mentality is required by the believer to maximize the privilege of engagement in kingdom service Pro. 23:7. Remember, serving God is not just about being busy with activities in the church, it is about being productively engaged in the growth of the church and enlargement of God’s kingdom Lk. 14:21-23. God’s kingdom enlarges by the salvation of souls and their establishment in the church Jn. 15:16.

The Benefit that Accrue to the Believer in Serving God.

  1. Serving God guarantees divine protection.

We live in a world that is full of wickedness; with arrows, terror, pestilence and destruction flying around 24/7 1Jn. 5:19; Psa. 91:5-6. But the scriptures make us to understand that serving God secures protection from all the wickedness in the world over the life of the believer Mal. 3:17-18; Lk. 10:17-19.

  • Serving God guarantees supernatural change of level.

When life that is void of progress, it is said to become a burden. The believer is ordained for an exciting life by his experience of continuous advancement Pro. 4:18. But serving God is what empowers the believer for continuous progress against the oppositions in life Lk. 19:13,17-19; Psa. 102:17-22; Gen. 42:18.

The choice of serving God is the wisdom that will make the believer to maximize his life on the earth Job 36:11. But for our service to God to deliver, it must be become the priority in a believer’s life Mat. 6:33.
