Memory verse:   

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,”

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”                             Php. 3:13-14.

In this kingdom, God makes known the available provisions for His children. Each child has the responsibility to press into taking delivery of it in his life Lk. 16:16. In essence, the outcome of the life of every child of God is determined by his readiness to pursue after what is set before him. This is what Apostle Paul said, I forget other things to pursue after what God has set before me Php. 3:13-14.

Scriptural understanding for running the race of life.

1. Our efforts must be focused at delivery of result.

Some believers are satisfied with just being active for God; such are mere busybody not runners in the race of life. Our efforts must produce expected result, before one is recognized as running the race of life Mat. 25:14-30; Jn. 15:16.

2. We must become kingdom reapers.

The core responsibility of the believer is to harvest souls for Christ; this is the core activity that registers a believer in the race of life Jn. 15:16; Mk. 16:15-16. Therefore, only reapers are qualified to win the prize Jn. 4:36.

From scriptures, serving God particularly in soul winning is the core responsibility that turns brings the believer into the race of life Job 36:11; Lk. 22:25-27.

Returns on spiritual stewardship.

1. Divine protection.

When the believer is a registered soul winner, he has invoked all the forces of heaven over his life for his divine security against all the force of life Job 1:8-9.

2. Supernatural supplies.

Serving God, particularly in soul winning guarantees the supernatural supplies of all the believer’s needs in life Job 36:11; Exo. 23:25-26.

Father in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit for tireless commitment to serving God and the advancement of His kingdom Acts 1:8.
