Memory verse:

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,”

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”                             Php. 3:13-14.

From scriptures, we understand in clear terms that life is a race and only those who are committed to running the race will have life answer to them Heb. 12:1-2. Every race has the rules, demands and the prize to win 1Cor. 9:24-27. The understanding of these and applying ourselves to them will make us to maximize our life on the earth.

Scriptural understanding for running the race of life.

  1. Engage with the heart in the pursuit of one’s vision.

Vision defines the race each one is to run, but we run with the heart 2Chr. 16:9; Jer. 17:9-10. In essence, whatever we do that our heart is not involved has no record in our life, and will deliver no reward.

  1. We must pursue any agenda as servants of Christ doing the will of God.

We must approach every demand as servants, with Christ as our Master Eph. 6:6; Isa. 29:11-13. In essence, we are not looking at men but what Christ desire of us.

Remember that the core responsibility for every man that desires a fulfilled life is serving God and the interest of His kingdom Job 36:11; Lk. 22:25-27.

Returns on spiritual stewardship.

  1. Peace that passes all understanding.

When we are committed to serving God, peace beyond what men can explain becomes our experience in life Eph. 6:15; Lk. 10:5; Exo. 14:14.

  1. Supernatural breakthroughs.

Serving God makes all oppositions to give way to the believer of themselves, which will result in his unhindered advancement in life Lk. 5:3-8; Mat. 6:33.
