REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS AND AGAIN I SAY REJOICE PT. 1.

Memory verse:

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”

  • Php. 4:4.

The scripture is a book of instruction, laws and commandments Jos. 1:8. And they are the commandments of God designed for profitable living on the earth 2Tim. 3:16-17. One fundamental instruction of scripture is that of joy and rejoicing Php. 4:4; 1Ths. 5:16. Remember, there is no commandment of scriptures that is intended for the good of God but man. Therefore, the commandment of joy is to empower the believer for a life of profit. One vital profit of joy and rejoicing is that it secures divine presence, which is the secret behind a fulfilling and successful life on the earth Psa. 16:11; Acts 10:38. But we must understand that joy is a fruit of the Spirit, hence it has to be consciously cultivated Gal. 5:22-23.

Scriptural understanding that helps in cultivating joy.

  1. Being grateful.

One cannot be grateful and not be joyful Psa. 92:1-4. To be grateful means to have a sense of value, this makes one to be excited and joyful about everything and always.

  • The consciousness of a beneficiary not an achiever in life.

From scriptures, we understand that there is nothing we have that we have not received Jn. 3:27; 1Cor. 4:7. This understanding will stir joy in the believer always, which will lead to thankfulness and praise.

  • The consciousness of acknowledging God to retain His blessing.

We must continue to acknowledge God for His goodness and mercy to sustain and multiply His blessing on our lives Lk. 17:11-12; Jer. 30:19. Remember, joy and gratitude are inseparable covenant twins Psa. 136:1-3.

Therefore, every believer that loves to experience the best of life mustfight every joy breaker and cultivate the lifestyle of joy and rejoicing Hab. 3:17-19.
