Memory verse:

“Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,”

“ Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:”

  • Heb. 3:7-8.

The scriptures instruct us that the way to make the most of our walk with God is by obedience to his commandments Deu. 28:1-2; Jos. 1:8; Jn. 14:21-23. Until our obedience is in place, we cannot walk in victory over the many adversaries against our destiny 1Cor. 16:9; 2Cor. 10:6. This is the root of the life of misery a lot of believers seem to be experiencing. Furthermore, the scriptures make us to understand that obedience is not enough, how we obey is vital to our outcome. The obedience that will result in a blessed life is the one that is prompt Jn. 13:27; Rms. 12:11.

The power of prompt response in maximizing our walk with God.

  1. Prompt response invokes God’s manifest in the believer’s situation.

Hezekiah the king of Judah engaged in prompt response when he received the threat letter from the king of Assyria. He immediately went to the temple and presented the threat letter to God 2Kgs. 19:14-19.  His prompt response triggered God’s instant response to the situation, and the result was the supernatural victory of Hezekiah 2Kgs. 19:20-37.

  • Prompt response triggers God’s power to work.

Blind Bartimaeus heard of Jesus passing by and responded prompt for an encounter with Jesus Mk. 10:46-47. His prompt response caught Jesus’ attention, and drew the power of God for the recovery of his eye sight Mk. 10:48-52. Every time the believer respond prompt to divine instruction or vision, he taps into the power of God the instruction carries for his benefit Heb. 4:12.

Remember, God has said concerning the on-going Operation Hit your Target that there shall be dramatic change of story for every winner that shall deliver the expected result. Therefore, be prompt in your response to make the most of the moment.
