Memory verse:
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
“For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
“Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?”
“Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?”
“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”
- Mat. 7:7-11.
When the righteous pray things happen according what the prayer addresses Jms. 5:16. The righteous here refers to the believer who has been washed in the blood of Jesus and placed in right standing with God 2Cor. 5:21. Hence, the prayer altar is the believer’s guaranteed access to everything he desires in life Mat. 21:22. By divine design therefore, the believer is not to suffer lack of anything because of the prayer platform. The story of the ‘prodigal son’ exemplifies this; he knows the Father has the wealth, as a son he asked for his portion. Contrary to how we might have responded naturally, the Father gave to him without hesitation Lk. 15:11-12. When the elder son was angry that the Father never gave him anything, the reply was that he never asked Lk. 15:29-31.
Covenant requirements to enjoy answer in prayer always.
- Engage praying in the Spirit.
For our prayer to command answer, the scriptures instruct that we must pray according to God’s will on the issue of concern 1Jn. 5:14-15. When we pray in the Holy Spirit, which essentially means praying in tongues, we are connecting to the help of the Spirit of God in prayers. The Holy Spirit knows what God’s will is on the issue of concern, and He helps us to present our case according to the will of God as we are speaking in His language Acts 8:26-27. Therefore, praying in tongues is like getting on God’s private line in prayer for uninterrupted access and answer 1Cor. 14:2,14-15; Eph. 6:18.
