PRAYER DOES NOT ONLY CHANGE THINGS, PRAYER CHANGES PEOPLE 190123 PT. 4.

Memory verse:

“And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.”

“And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.”

  • Lk. 9:28-29.

The prayer altar is the altar of transformation Lk. 9:28-35. The prayer altar has so much power that there is nothing presented on it that returns the same, rather it is positively changed 1Kgs. 18:30-38. To maximize the transformation power of the prayer altar, we must understand that prayer is fundamentally to change the person. It is the change in the person that will translate into the change in his story and situation Php. 2:13. In essence, to make the most of the prayer altar, one must watch out for the change in him much more than the change in his situation.

Scriptural examples of transformation power of prayer.

  1. Daniel.

Daniel was a notable prayer giant, whatever was the challenge to his life was solved by presenting it on the prayer altar to God Dan. 2:13-14,17-19. He prays three times every day, and the focus was on the restoration of Jerusalem and Israel Dan. 6:10. Daniel would pray and fast for twenty-one (21) days in his passion to see Jerusalem and Israel restored, refusing a no for an answer Dan. 10:12-14. His lifestyle of prayer transformed him from mortality that lions have no power over his body Dan. 6:19-23.

God has no favorite per say, it is our response to his instruction and commitment to him that makes a favorite person out of us Jms. 4:8. Therefore, every one of us must expect to return transformed as we engage passionately in the remaining days of our prayer and fasting Pro. 23:18.
