God ordained His church for growth, which is to be continuous and unstoppable Mat. 16:18. The reason is because the growth of His church brings glory to Him, also it brings glory to the believer who is engaged in the growth drive Jn. 15:8; Jer. 30:19-21. Therefore, our engagement towards church growth is the wisdom for the life of unquestionable glory for the believer Deu. 28:1; Isa. 52:7. The lack of the understanding of this truth in today’s church might be the reason for the mediocrity that seems to typify the church ordained for glory. We have established from scriptures that the believer’s task in the drive for church growth is engagement in prayer and fasting Ezk. 36:37; Acts 6:4,7.
The Power of Prayer in Effecting Church Growth.
- Prayer is God’s wisdom for invoking supernatural church growth.
The scriptures say every house, including the church, can only be built by wisdom Pro. 24:3. Wisdom is simply doing what God’s word says to be done to get at a desired result Mat. 7:24-27. For the growth of the church, the scripture’s instruction is engagement in prayer and fasting Isa. 66:7-8; Psa. 2:8.
- Prayer and fasting enhances fresh revelation in the word which is key to church growth.
One covenant force essential for supernatural church growth is increased revelation Acts 6:7; Jer. 3:15-16. The altar of prayer and fasting is the place of encounter with fresh revelation Isa. 58:6,8.
- Prayer and fasting enhances spiritual refreshing essential for church growth.
Prayer and fasting empowers the believer to tap to the rivers of God, which brings spiritual refreshing Isa. 58:6,11; Jn. 7:37-39. By the refreshing from God, the church becomes like a well-watered garden, which results in the flow of multitudes into the church Psa. 23:2.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the Spirit of grace and supplication to maximize this prophetic season thereby take full delivery of my 4-quantum change Zch. 12:10.
