Memory verse:
“God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.”
“Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.”
“For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.”
- Psa. 47:5-7.
The scriptures make us to understand that life is ordained for continuous progress and advancement Pro. 4:18. When life is devoid of progress it becomes a burden to the individual and everyone connected to him. From scriptures we are made to understand that praise is the power of God for a raise in life Jer. 30:19; Hab. 3:17-19. In essence, every believer that desires to keep experiencing lifting and progress need to adopt joy, rejoicing, thankfulness and praise as a lifestyle. But praise will only deliver to the extent of the believer’s understanding on praise; what to expect in praise, how to praise for result, why we should praise etc.
What happens in the midst of praise?
- Praise turns ‘nothing working’ to ‘everything working’ like a dream of the night.
Believers sometimes find themselves in a situation where things refuse to work despite all he does 2Chr. 20:14. In such situation, praise has the guarantee to invoke God into the scene; thereby making what was not working to begin to work thereafter Psa. 22:3; Hab. 3:17-19.
- Praise suspends the laws of nature to deliver God’s plan and purpose in the believer’s life.
Nothing can change God’s plan and purpose for a life, and no devil can really stop God’s plan from coming to fulfillment Isa. 14:24,27. What the devil can do is, tamper with nature so as to make the situation not fit for the delivery of God’s plan. By praise the believer invokes God’s presence; God’s presence makes the laws of nature of no relevance thereby bringing His plan and purpose into fulfillment supernaturally 2Kgs. 3:15-18. This happened a lot in scripture; example is Abraham and Sarah Rms. 4:19-21.
The believer has praise as a vital tool in his walk with God. By praise, the believer can turn every pitiable situation into the envy of all Hab. 3:17-19. And the believer can praise his way out of every siege of bareness to fruitfulness Isa. 54:1-4.
