“Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us” 

“God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.”

• Psa. 67:5-7.

God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo defined praise as ‘power for raise’. In essence, praise will invoke the power that will raise the believer no matter the force that has kept him down Psa. 47:5-7. The praise that will release power is the praise that is done with understanding of why do we praise, how do we praise, and what to expect when we praise God Psa. 47:7. Also we have reiterated that for praise to be powerful, it must proceed from a heart full of joy and rejoicing Isa. 29:13; Jms. 5:13.

How does praise effect turnaround in believer’s life.

1. Praise turns situations from nothing working to everything working.

When the believer engages in true praise, he secures God’s manifest presence and involvement in his affairs Psa. 22:3. This is what transforms whatever was not working to become actively working Hab. 3:17-19.

• Praise suspends the laws of nature to deliver God’s plan and purpose.

As we have said, praise will always invoke the omnipotence of God into the believer’s situation. When God’s power is at work, natural laws become irrelevant to guarantee the desired turnaround of the believer against all odds Rms. 4:19-21; Exo. 14:16.

The understanding that praise has the power to effect turnaround means the believer can praise his way out of every siege of bareness to fruitfulness Isa. 54:1-4.

Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me by the Holy Spirit for the lifestyle of praise from today Acts 2:4,11.
