Memory verse:

“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.”                               Lk. 5:3-4.

There are persons in the natural that meeting with them leads to drastic transformation in one’s life. How much more a one-on-one meeting with God, which is what we refer to as encounter with God. It will always leave man with an experience of a lifetime Gen. 32:22-28. From scriptures, we understand that every great story has its secret in such encounter with God Isa. 51:1-3. The good news is that the Post-resurrection season, which is 40 days after Easter, is ordained for divine encounter for the believer Acts 1:3.

Helps to experience divine encounters in this ongoing Post-resurrection season.

1. Understand that every genuine encounter opens new chapters to the believer.

We serve the God of new things, who specializes in doing new things every time Isa. 42:9-10. Every encounter with Him, brings the believer into a new chapter of his life 2Cor. 3:18; 1Sam. 3:21.

2. Understand that one encounter with Christ brought Gideon to limelight.

Gideon was a timid and fearful person, who was hiding from the army of the enemy Jug. 6:11-14,16. One encounter with God turned his fearful heart into that of a lion that brought Gideon into national and intercontinental relevance Jug. 8:22,28.

3. Understand that one encounter with Christ turned Paul to a kingdom celebrity.

Paul was a terror and a killer, whose presence causes the heart of believer’s to faint Acts 9:1-6. But one encounter with Christ turned him into a kingdom celebrity Acts 14:8-11; 19:14-15.

4. The altar of sacrifice facilitates encounters with God.

Our God has great respect for sacrifice, it is one channel that invokes God any time, any day Psa. 50:7. In essence, when a sacrifice comes on the scene, God is bound to show up to man Gen. 22:116-18; 1Kgs. 3:3-5.

Father in the name of Jesus, by you grace I am experiencing encounters with you in this Post-resurrection season Psa. 34:5.

Action.

Engage in a sacrifice to invoke an encounter with God in this season.
