Memory verse:   

“My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.”

Pro. 23:26.

Every great man has this common characteristic; they place great value on their time. Time is the capital asset of life, with which every man acquire every other thing in life. This is why the scriptures instruct us to be wise with our time Psa. 90:12; Eph. 5:16; Col. 4:5. The Challenge with many child of God is that they are ignorant of this basic truth, so they keep struggling praying for breakthrough. What makes time this important is that, how we use time shows the state of our heart. And the heart defines the life of man Pro. 23:7; 4:23. Great men in scriptures were men with a heart for God and His kingdom, and this show in the way they make their time available for God.

Scriptural examples of giants made by making their time available to God.

1. The example of David.

David was a man with his heart burning for God 1Sam. 13:14; Psa. 42:1. David could not stand the assault of Goliath against God and the army of Israel 1Sam. 17:26-27. This was a man everyone was afraid to confront, but David would rather die than watch Goliath defile God Isa. 17:32-50. This heart of David that was burning for God was reflective in the use of his time. Despite being the king of the strongest nation in his days, he had time for prayer 3 times and praise 7 times every day Psa. 55:17; 119:164. The result was that David ascended the throne at age 30, emerged as  the most honored king in the history of Israel, and the Messiah came through his lineage 2Sam. 5:4-5; Lk. 18:38; Rev. 3:7-8.

 

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                

Father, in the name of Jesus, endue me by your Spirit with grace for tireless pursuit of you and kingdom advancement, thereby empowering me to rise as a kingdom giant Zch. 4:7.

Action.

Appraise your time, how much of your 24 hours a day goes for God and the things of His kingdom averagely?
