Memory verse:
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the
voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee
on high above all nations of the earth:”
“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou
shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”
- Deut. 28:1-2.
We understand from scriptures that whatever God has done for someone, He can reproduce for other person that desires it Mal. 3:6; Mk. 13:37. Further, scriptures make us to understand that every act or blessing of God is in response to our obedience Deut. 28:1. In essence, our obedience to God and His instruction is the vital key that unlocks the blessings of God on our lives as believers. Every excuse and reason for disobedience is the permission we have given the devil to rob us of our rights in God 2Cor. 10:6. Remember, God’s commandments are not burdensome and grievous 1Jn. 5:3. They are perfect and places ‘light’ demands on the believer Matt. 11:29. All that we need is the decision to obey them Deut. 30:19.
We have been going through the scriptures to identify basic understanding that will empower us for obedience in our walk with God. Be blessed as we have the concluding part on this subject today.
Scriptural Understanding on the Laws of God’s kingdom and our Obedience.
- Obedience is at the root of every supernatural breakthrough in the kingdom Lk. 5:1-8; Deut. 28:1-13.
Our weapons of warfare in life as believers are not physical and may appear as incomparable to those carrying physical weapons, but they deliver stronger power and result 2Cor. 10:3-4. Obedience to God and His commandment is fundamental among them 2Cor. 10:6. Every other weapon in the kingdom will lose functionality when we are out of obedience to God. In essence, obedience is a spiritual weapon which none other can withstand thereby making the believer to experience unending breakthroughs.
A vivid example is the wedding in Cana of Galilee, by their simple obedience to instruction that appeared absurd, they secured their breakthrough without any form of struggle Jn. 2:5-11.
Scriptures make us to understand that one effect of obedience to God and His instruction is supernatural supplies of the believers needs 2Kgs. 4:1-7; Mat. 17:26-27. When a believer therefore is suffering from lack, insufficiency and poverty, he should simply check for where he is in disobedience to God.
