Redemption brings the believer into God’s kingdom, which is made of giants Mat. 5:13-16; Isa. 60:22. But responsibility is said to be the price for greatness and the rise of giants. In essence, there are kingdom responsibilities that cause giants to rise out of non-entities the moment they step into the kingdom. What is a responsibility? It is the ability one is required to respond to, or the task one must deliver.
The Core Responsibility in the Kingdom.
From scriptures, we recognize God’s house as a house of prayer Mk. 11:17. In essence, every house of God must be involved in prayer to be a truly one. Furthermore, scriptures show us that every believer is a house of God 1Cor. 3:9,16. This means that every believer is ordained ‘a house of prayer’.
When Jesus taught on prayer, He showed us that kingdom advancement is what God ordained prayer to be focussed on Mat. 6:9-10. The believer being a ‘house of prayer’, makes kingdom advancement prayer his core responsibility Mat. 6:9-10. In essence, every believer is called to make prayer his basic task, and it is the prayer that is focussed on the advancement of God’s kingdom.
When an individual refuses to take up his responsibility, we call him an irresponsible man, and will be denied due benefits. Therefore, a believer does not need to be a pastor or member of the prayer force to be involved in prayer engagement. It is the normal life expected of every believer. When the believer is not engaged in prayer as a lifestyle, he is an irresponsible believer.
One can be actively engaged in many other things in the kingdom, but when one is not engaged in kingdom advancement prayer, one has missed the foundation of everything. Remember, when the foundation is destroyed, every other thing will fail to work Psa. 11:3. This is what might be the challenge of the average believer of today; he is full of activities in church, but not involved in kingdom advancement prayers. This makes his life not to have reflection of the blessings of the kingdom. And the way out is a change, realignment to kingdom responsibility lifestyle.
Scriptural Example of Giants made through Kingdom Advancement Prayer Engagement.
- Abraham.
He was not a priest by the Old Testament order, but a business emperor, who was into animal husbandry Gen. 13:2,5-7. Notwithstanding, he was a noted as a servant of God, and this is by reason of his tireless engagement in intercession Gen. 18:20-33. Abraham by this lifestyle became blessed in all tings Gen. 24:1.
What are we to Pray?
- For ever increasing church growth Ezk. 36:37.
We must continue to prayer for God to keep drafting multitude into the church, for them to be saved and planted there. The labor room of prayer is known as the birth place of supernatural church growth Isa. 66:7-8; Acts 6:4,7.
What Do I Stand to Benefit?
- It is emergence as a star.
The act of turning many to righteousness through prayer makes a star of the believer Dan. 12:3.
In conclusion, we have great opportunity as believers; we only need to make the most of it. Prayer is one of the great opportunities; make your choice for it now!
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer loudly with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me and on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me, for restoring me, and for saving me.”
Prayer.
Father in the name of Jesus, baptize me with the Spirit of grace and supplication, and thereby empower me for the lifestyle of prayer from now Zch. 12:10.

From scriptures, we understand that the core responsibility in God’s kingdom for every believer is to engage in kingdom advancement prayer Mk. 11:17; 1Cor. 3:9,16. It is as we embrace this responsibility that we become entitled to the greatness that the kingdom offers. It is not enough to prayer, for prayer to deliver the profits […]
