Memory verse:

“And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. ”

  • Mk. 11:17.

The greatest discovery in life is self discovery; it will always lead to all round recovery Lk. 15:17. Until the believer discovers who redemption has made him, he may never take delivery of his glorious destiny in Christ. The scriptures show us that the believer is God’s house, because his body is the temple of the Holy Spirit 1Cor. 3:9; 6:19. God’s house is ordained a house of prayer, and prayer is ordained to be focused on kingdom advancement Mk. 11:17; Mat. 6:9-10. Therefore, every believer that will experience a glorious destiny must embrace kingdom advancement prayer as his lifestyle.

Examples of Saints in the Bible who though not ordained are intercessors.

  1. Paul.

Paul was the least of the apostles, because he was one of the last to become an apostle 1Cor. 15:9. But he became the most celebrated of the apostles; he wrote two-third of the New Testament. Foremost in his secret is that Paul was a great intercessor Rms. 1:1; 2Cor. 11:27.

What are we to Pray for?

  1. Pray continuously for fresh revelation from our pulpit.

From scriptures, we understand that when God’s word increase there will be corresponding increase in the church Mat. 24:28; Acts 6:7. It is by prayer that we make the word of God to increase in depth, revelation, utterance and impact 2Ths. 3:1; Eph. 6:19. Therefore, praying for the increase of the word is praying for kingdom advancement, which will invoke God’s favor on the believer Mat. 6:33.
