Memory verse:
“And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. ”
- Mk. 11:17.
Responsibility means a duty or task one is expected to perform. A wise man said responsibility is the price for greatness, which means that every great man has the task they got committed to emerge in greatness Deu. 28:1. From scriptures, we understand that by new birth the believer was brought into the realm of greatness Mat. 5:13-14. A core task for the believer to realize this greatness is commitment to kingdom advancement prayer Lk. 9:28-35; Mat. 6:9-10.
Examples of Saints in the Bible who though not ordained are intercessors.
- David.
David was king of Israel, the strongest nation during his reign 2Sam. 5:3. Despite being a king, David would pray three times daily, which made him to be acknowledged as a servant of God Psa. 55:17; 89:20-24. David is still recognized today as the greatest king Israel ever had.
What are we to Pray for?
- Pray continuously for member’s needs to be met.
As we pray for members, we move God to turn their challenges into testimonies Php. 1:19; Gal. 6:2. This will result in their being established in the faith and the church Psa. 23:2,6. And from scriptures, we understand that what we make happen for others is what God is committed to make happen for us in return Eph. 6:8; Job 42:10. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him Heb. 11:6. We are guaranteed reward of greatness when we seek Him in prayer for others.
