Memory verse:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
- Hos. 4:6.
Prayer is ordained to be answered always, when this is not the case it makes the Christian life a frustrating experience Pro. 13:12. Many believers know how to travail in prayer but lack the understanding of when the prayer is answered. The challenge there is that when God release the answer and the believer is unaware, the answer is available for powers of darkness to steal Dan. 10:12-14; Jn. 10:10. In essence, the understanding of when God answer our prayer is vital to enjoy the blessings of prayer and an exciting Christian experience.
Covenant understandings that help us to know when our prayer is answered.
- When we have prayed confidently.
Confidence is a virtue with great reward in the kingdom Heb. 10:35-36. It is a vital requirement that makes our prayer to deliver answers Heb. 4:16. In essence, when we pray with confidence, we should understand that God has answered us.
- When we have prayed with thanksgiving.
Apostle Paul, a prayer juggernaut, instructed that every time we engage in prayer and supplication, we must add thanksgiving Php. 4:6. This makes God to hear and answer instantly 1Ths. 5:18; Heb. 10:36. In essence, when we pray and thank God for answer, God is moved to answer instantly.
- When the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that our prayer is answered.
Every believer has the Holy Spirit in him, from the moment he makes the decision for Christ 1Cor. 12:3. Among others, the Holy Spirit gives us a ‘knowing’ inside us called ‘the witness of the Spirit’ when God answer our prayer Rms. 8:16. Therefore, watch out for that witness in prayer from now.
