Prayer is an asset of great value, with which the believer gains access to anything he desires in life Jn. 16:23-24. The question is, how can we have such an asset and wallow is failure and struggle? It is because we have not understood how to tap into the full benefits of prayer Ecc. 10:15. And this is simply because we need to know when our prayer is answered. For instance, when it is harvest, and the farmer does not get the harvest on time from the field into the store, he stands the risk of losing the harvest. So it is with prayer, when the answer is released and we don’t take delivery of it, our answer is vulnerable to the devil and his agents who are thieves Dan. 10:12-15; Jn. 10:10.

Covenant understandings that help us to know when our prayer is answered.

1. When we have prayed with our heart.

God is looking for the man with his heart truly after him, to show his might and power in his life 2Chr. 16:9. Therefore, when our prayer is from such heart, God responds and answer instantly Jer. 29:13; Jms. 5:16.

• When we have prayed in the Spirit.

Praying in the Spirit means relying on the Holy Spirit to show us what and how to pray Rms. 8:26. Praying in tongues is one way we do this. The Holy Spirit knows the mind and will of God on all issues, when He directs, we are sure to pray according to God’s will, which guarantees answer in prayer 1Jn. 5:14-15.

• When we have prayed and expect answer.

One thing God responds to is our expectation Pro. 23:18. When we pray and have expectation of answer, we commit God to answer our prayer 1Sam. 30:6-9; 2Sam. 5:18-25.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                

Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive the help of the Holy Spirit in prayer afresh for answer in prayer from today, I will never experience prayer failure again Acts 8:26.

Action.

Engage the prayer altar concerning the issue of concern; let it be from your heart, take much of the time to pray in tongues and expect answer.
