GOD DOES NOT REWARD EFFORTS MADE, HE REWARDS RESULTS OBTAINED 260224 Pt. 1.

Memory verse:

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”                                                                                 Jn. 15:16.

One vital principle of God’s kingdom is that there can be no reward unless the believer delivers the expected result Lk. 19:17-20,24. The good news is that God will never demand from us what He has not empowered us for Jdg. 6:14. For instance, Paul cried to God to take away the “thorn in his flesh”, but God replied him that He had given Paul the grace to bear it 2Cor. 12:7-9. This is why there will be acceptable excuse for the believer not to deliver the result expected Lk. 14:16-21.

Scriptural understanding that will empower the believer to produce expected result.

  1. God responds to results obtained.

From scriptures, we understand that what God responds to is not the participation of the believer, but the results he delivers Lk. 19:13-19. No matter the level of involvement, it is the result generated that moves God.

  1. The believer is rewarded for harvest gathered.

Our core task as believers is reconciling men to God, and our reward is based on it 2Cor. 5:17-20. But no matter how much of contacts we make, it is eventually the number of souls harvested that determines our reward Jn. 4:35-36.

  1. God does not reward groups, He rewards individuals.

The scriptures show us that believers are to labor towards kingdom advancement in pairs or groups Ecc. 4:9-12. But God rewards individuals for their result 1Cor. 3:8.
