Memory verse:
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” Jn. 15:16.
We have established that there is a demand of God on every believer to produce result, and the expected result is to reconcile men to God Jn. 15:1-2; 2Cor. 5:17-19. Believers must ensure that their labor towards harvest of souls translate ultimately to saved and established souls in the faith. This is because the believer’s effort does not count until it produces established souls in the kingdom Jn. 15:16.
Scriptural understanding that will empower the believer to produce expected result.
- God reward reapers and not just participants.
It is one thing for the believer to engage in the exercise of harvesting souls into the kingdom, and another to have harvested souls at the end of the day Lk. 13:6-9. God rewards only believers with harvest Jn. 4:36.
- The attempts made do not matter but the number of souls turned to righteousness.
No matter the attempts made by the believer, if it does not result into saved souls it is wasted effort Lk. 19:20-24. The believer emerges as a star as many are turned to righteousness Dan. 12:3.
- God does not honor groups, He honors individuals.
God loves multitudes and it brings glory to Him Pro. 14:28. But when it comes to touching men, God does it only on individual basis Isa. 51:1-3. And it is our individual results that entitles a believer for God’s touch and rewards 1Sam. 2:30.
Jesus is Lord!
