Encounter with God can be simply defined as divine appointment, or appointment with God. It is a time God appoints to meet with man on a one-on-one level; such time of interaction is revealing and deep, with the believer coming out with personal knowledge of and experience with God 1Jn. 1:1-3; Job 42:5. Many in church may not be able to point to any time in their Christian experience of such a personal time with God different from the general one they have in church services, meetings, conventions etc. This might be the reason we have too many at the level of mediocrity.

Scriptures make us to understand that God do appoint times of meeting with man Exo. 19:10-11. When anyone takes advantage of such appointment, it is always with lifetime impact. Appointment with God is always scheduled for divinely selected location Jer. 18:1-2. The good news is that God has not changed, in our days Shiloh is an appointed time and place for encounter with God 1Sam. 3:21; Jos. 18:1-3. Shiloh is the annual gathering of Winners, and Shiloh 2021 has been divine slated for December 7^th to 12^th 2021, at every Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel Int’l) locations globally. Every divine appointment with God demands effective preparation by man Amos 4:12. How do we prepare, and what do we stand to go with from this appointment?

The Significance of Preparation for Encounter with God.

1. Preparation lead to empowerment for delivery of divine assignment Hab.2:1-3.

Everyone needs empowerment to successfully deliver God’s assignment for his life. This is accessed when one effectively prepares for encounter with God. Paul after his conversion went behind the scene into Arabia, essentially it was to prepare, and he came forth empowered to undertake his apostolic mandate Gal. 1:15-18; 2:8.

• A vital preparation required is the heart for word encounters 1Sam. 3:21.

God is essentially in His word, and everyone that desires an encounter with Him only need to get into His word to meet with Him Jn. 1:1. But it takes the heart of man to meet with God Pro. 23:26. In essence, everyone that will experience God through His word must have his heart prepared, by a heart-rooted hunger for God’s word. This is what we need to make the most of the opportunities that awaits us at Shiloh 2021.

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, everything that may deny me of an encounter at Shiloh 2021 is taken off my life now Psa. 51:7.

Put up a plan that will help you give your attention to God’s word alone at Shiloh 2021
