Hard times is nothing new on the earth, it is as old as the earth and has existed in every human generation Gen. 12:10; Acts 11:28. From scriptures, we understand that the covenant is God’s escape route from hard times Psa. 74:20. The covenant of seedtime and harvest is the guaranteed gateway to a world of supernatural blessings, with the power to make rich irrespective of the situation Gen. 8:20-22; Pro. 10:22; 2Cor. 9:6-10; Php. 4:15-19.
What is a Covenant?
A covenant is a spiritual agreement put in place by God, based on well-defined conditions, and sealed with an oath Jer. 33:20-21,25-26.
In essence, when a believer understands the demands of God and complies with them, he has entered into an agreement with God on his finance, which is binding on God to bless and bring that believer into fortune because of the oath Heb. 6:13-18.
The Terms of the Covenant of Supernatural Blessing.
In essence, what are the conditions God has given for this agreement that commits Him to the blessing and wealth of the believer?
Tithing is key to a world of supernatural blessing; in essence, it is non-negotiable Mal. 3:6-10; 4:1-2. Tithing is the practice of returning one-tenth of one’s income back to God, with the understanding that it belongs to Him Lk. 27:30-34. The New Testament approves of tithe as key to access God’s blessing Gen. 14:19-20; Jn. 8:39; Mat. 23:23; Heb. 7:1-8.
- Worship Offering.
Worship offering is the practice of taking out of one’s substance to worship God every time one appears in God’s presence Pro. 3:9-10; Deu. 16:16-17. Every time the believer does this, he becomes qualified for access to more of God’s blessing Exo. 23:14-15; Deu. 28:1-2.
- Giving towards kingdom advancement
This is engaging one’s resources intentionally to build God’s kingdom Exo. 35: 4-16,22; Hag. 3:3-15; Lk. 7:1-5. This act is a guaranteed way to God’s blessing Psa. 102:13-15. We can do this in different ways; building sanctuaries, acquire outreach vehicles, fund outreach materials, financing transportation of members’ to and fro church services, etc.
- Rearing an altar of sacrifice.
Sacrifice is giving to God or kingdom course what places great cost on one’s life 2Sam. 24:24-25. Sacrifice has the power for sudden turnaround in the believer’s story Psa. 126:5-6; 50:7; 20:1-3; 1Kgs. 3:3-15.
- Giving to the poor.
This is using our resources to take care of the less privileged around us, at our level of capacity Psa. 41:1-3; Deu. 15:11. It is a guaranteed avenues to access the supernatural blessing of God Pro. 28:27; 19:17.
- Giving to charity.
This is using one’s resources to pursue any course that is towards improving humanity in general, or to make living better for people. It includes things like, building or running an orphanage, hospital, road construction etc. Mat. 25:31-40. This is a covenant secret for supernatural wealth Job 29:4-25.
- Giving to parents.
This is being intentional in looking after the wellbeing of one’s biological parents; it is a covenant secret to supernatural blessing for fortune in life Eph. 6:1-3; Gen. 27:1-15; 49:26.
- Giving to ministers.
This is the act of intentionally giving our material and financial resources in return to those who minister spiritual virtues on our life Rms. 15:27. It is the covenant pathway to access the supernatural blessing of God, which brings into fortune Php. 4:15-19; Gal. 6:6; Mat. 10:41.
In conclusion, whether hard life or blessed life, it is a product of individual’s choice to do what God has instructed as the demands to access His blessing Deu. 30:19. Therefore, anyone can choose when to walk out of hard times.
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

- Father in the name of Jesus, I make the choice for the covenant of supernatural blessing today 30:19.
- Father in the name of Jesu, I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to embrace the demands of the covenant as my lifestyle from today 4:6.
- Father in the name of Jesus, by the covenant I shall flourish in the midst of hard times Job 22:29.
