Memory verse:

“And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and

said unto them, Occupy till I come.”

“But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying,

We will not have this man to reign over us.”

“And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to

whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man

 had gained by trading.”

“Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.”

“And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.”

“And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.”

“And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.”

  • Lk. 19:13-19.

The challenge of many in life is that of always having who and what to blame for their failure and trouble. Some have what is popularly referred to in Christendom as the ‘Bethesda syndrome’, which is ‘I have no man to help me’ Jn 5:7. Scriptures make us to understand that all that a man needs in life is his vote with God to become whatever God has made him to be in life Deut. 28:1-2; Jos. 1:8. God used Abraham’s life as a case study for us Isa. 55:1-2. Abraham accepted responsibility as an individual for the outcome of his life, by making the most of every opportunity that comes his way, and he emerged a generational blessing we know of him today Gen. 12:1-4; 15:1-10; 17:9-23; 22:1-18.

The truth is that there is no man that lacks opportunity; opportunities keep coming again and again to every man in life Matt. 25:15. How each one handles the opportunities of his life will determine what becomes of him eventually in life. We must begin to see everything that comes to us in life as opportunities that God throws at us, for us use in making our destiny as individuals.

Opportunities Every Believer must embrace to Maximize life.

  1. The empowerment by the Holy Spirit.

The average believer in our present generation sees the demand and task of being empowered by the Holy Spirit as that of those in the full-time assignment as ministers of the gospel. Such have failed to understand that we live in an embattled world, and it takes power to subdue oppositions in order to experience a glorious life. But we are only empowered as individuals as we take on the responsibilities for it Matt. 25:5-9. God does not empower groups, but each person who does what it takes Isa. 44:3-4. Just like the fuel in one’s car cannot run another, each person must secure the power for his life. Therefore, we must personally crave for, and engage in the scriptural demands for empowerment of the Holy Spirit Psa. 63:1-3; Zch. 10:1.
