Memory verse:
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”
- Deu. 30:19.
A wise man said you are not a failure until you have someone to blame. This challenge is why have not been able to rise above mediocrity; I call it “the blame game”. It is the nature of the fallen man, which was inherited from Adam and Eve after their fall Gen. 3:11-13. Yet their blame game never excused them from the punishment Gen. 3:16-19. King Saul will always have someone to blame for his failure, and he lost the throne 1Sam. 13:8-14; 15:13-16,28. David on the other hand always took responsibility, and he emerged as a man after God’s heart 2Sam. 12:7-14. Opportunities knock on every man’s door time and again, but our choice to take responsibility is what makes the difference between breakthrough and struggle, success and failure, greatness and mediocrity.
The basic responsibilities for the kingdom life.
- The responsibility of accessing God’s blessing as an individual.
Life is a race, and it is the blessing of God that makes for success in the race Heb. 12:1; Pro. 10:22. No one ever wins a prize in a race without his personal dedication Php. 3:13-14. Just as no one can run a race on your behalf; each one must take responsibility for the race of destiny, to labor for the blessing required for success. In essence, God does not bless groups, He blesses individuals Isa. 51:2, God does not honor groups, He honors individuals Jn. 12:24-26; 1Sam. 2:30. God does not promote group, He promotes individuals Psa. 75:5-6; Lk. 10:17-19. God does not reward groups, He rewards individuals 1Cor. 3:8; Rev. 22:12.
Jesus is Lord!
