Memory verse:

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”

  • Deu. 30:19.

A wise man said “you are not a failure until you look for whom to blame for it”. In essence, stop looking for who to blame for the failure in your life or what is not working. Everywhere things are working, somebody is behind who has taken up the responsibility to make it work. This is well illustrated in the parable of ten talents Lk. 19:13-2’ Mat. 25:14-30. Each of the servant was given talent or pound, but the outcome of each one was by his commitment to responsibility. In essence, we are a product of our choices, which informs our actions in life Deu. 30:19.

The basic responsibilities for the kingdom life.

  1. The responsibility of building our faith.

The scriptures make us to understand that our life is essentially a function of our faith as individuals Hab. 2:4; Mat. 9:29. The quality of every our lives as individuals is determined by our faith Gal. 3:11; Rms. 1:17; Heb. 10:38.  Faith is in levels, with unlimited capacity for growth Jn. 14:12; 2Ths. 1:3. But the demand of growing faith is a personal responsibility; in essence, every believer that desires to have his faith grow must accept the responsibilities required. The scriptures instruct us to build our faith as individuals Jude 1:20. The principal demand in building faith is gaining spiritual understanding of the word Rms. 10:17; Acts 8:26-35. This can only be done by the individual; it cannot be done on the behalf of another.
