One thing that makes the Christian life frustrating is when there is no progress and fulfillment of the promises of scriptures Pro. 13:12. The sweetness of the Christian life is when one is experiencing continuous progress as scriptures promised it Pro. 4:18; Eccl. 7:8. Scriptures make us to understand that the profit of the Christian life is absolute by the application of the commandments of scriptures 2Tim. 3:16-17; Deut. 28:1. In essence, the Christian life will only be profitable to the believer who commits himself to live by the instructions of scriptures.
Therefore, receiving every statement of scriptures as a commandment is vital to a profitable life. Some Christians talk about the ten commandments; but the commandments of God to the believer are not just ten, they include every statement contained in scriptures 2Tim. 3:16. And our obedience of faith is what grant our access to the profits and blessing they carry. We shall study one of the basic scriptural commandment in today’s teaching.
Fundamental Commandments of Scriptures for the Believer’s Profiting.
- Sanctification commandment.
Sanctification of the believer is the will of God, and a commandment to every child of God 1Ths. 4:3; 1Pet. 1:15-16. Sanctification means the decision to set oneself apart from all that defiles unto God alone. It is the foundation for life in the kingdom, when the foundation is not in place; every other effort is a waste 2Tim. 2:19; Psa. 11:3. Sanctification is empowers the believer for profitable living, by making the word to deliver the profits 1Tim. 4:7-8. Sanctification empowers the believers’ access to all inheritance in Christ Psa. 84:11; Acts 20:32. The good news is that sanctification is primarily a thing of choice, and the choice is truly made nothing can stop it becoming the lifestyle Mat. 5:6; Deut. 30:19.

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive fresh grace for obedience to the commandment of scriptures as a lifestyle from today Acts 26:22.
Action.
Take a strong stand for sanctification; and make decision that will support the reality of it in all areas of your life.
